Vanoo has entered a 3-year strategic research partnership with the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The collaboration focuses on developing ultra-fast picosecond laser technology for advanced pigment removal, tattoo elimination, and skin rejuvenation applications.
This joint lab leverages CAS’s leadership in laser physics and Vanoo’s 22+ years of clinical engineering experience. Key objectives:
- Develop a 500ps pulse-width laser system with 1064nm/532nm/1064nm tunable wavelengths.
- Reduce treatment pain by 40% compared to traditional nanosecond lasers.
- Increase clearance rate for resistant pigments (e.g., blue/green tattoos) by >35%.
- File 8+ new patents and launch a commercial prototype by Q4 2026.
"This partnership solidifies Vanoo’s role as a technology pioneer bridging academic research and real-world clinical solutions," said the R&D Director. "We are bringing China’s most advanced laser science to the global aesthetics market."
